Mr. Struck is our 8th grade English teacher. 😎 He graduated from Illinois State University (Roll Birds!🐦) in 2018 and Grand Canyon University in 2023 with his Master’s in Secondary Education. 🙌 His favorite subject in school was, of course, English. He really found a passion for writing and research while studying public relations at ISU. 😊 A fun fact about John: He is a sports fanatic! Whether it’s watching, playing, or coaching, sports have had a major impact on his life! 🏀⚾🏏

Mr. Frederiksen comes to us from Reed Custer High School where he was a Science Teacher for 11 years. He attended the University of Illinois, Olivet Nazarene, and Governor's State, where he received his Master of Arts in Educational Administration & Principal Leadership. His favorite subject in school was Ecology. 😊 Some FUN FACTS about Mr. Frederiksen: He LOVES blue shoes 👟and has MANY of them! His wife is also a distant relative of Evel Knievel! 🏍️🙌

For any 6th through 8th-grade boy or girl interested in playing soccer for Morris Grade School this school year, tryouts are held July 31st and August 1st at the school soccer field from 9:00 am to 10:30 am (MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS). Please bring water and wear appropriate soccer attire. If you make the team, practices will start on Wednesday, August 2nd. Athletes must have an updated physical turned in before tryouts or turned in to Coach Bell at tryouts. Parents must also register their son/daughter on 8to18.
6th through 8th grade boys, Baseball tryouts will take place on July 31st and August 1st from 9-11 at Roth Field. Athletes, please dress appropriately in baseball pants, cleats, a hat, and any necessary equipment (gloves, bats, etc.). Catchers, please bring all of your equipment. Athletes must have an updated physical turned in before tryouts or turned in to coach Struck at tryouts. Parents must also register their son on 8to18.
True North is having a Back To School Clothing Event! 🤩
This event will be held in the True North parking lot on August 13th from 12PM-4PM. Vendors will be selling clothing at very reasonable and affordable prices for students and families to shop! 👚👖👕

All 5th-8th grade students are welcome to attend Cross Country practices when they begin next Monday, July 31st, at Morris Grade School. Cross Country is a co-op program hosted by Morris Grade School, and all students from MGS, Saratoga, Nettle Creek, and ICS are invited to join the team. No tryouts necessary. Parent meeting will take place at 8:30 AM on Monday, 7/31 in the north parking lot at MGS, with practice from 9-10:30 AM. Hope to see you there!
